Example:
The letter 'A'
It doesn't matter if it is right side up or up side down. If you see the letter within the space snap the shot. Some letters are going to come very easily, but others are going to be very difficult. After this assignment is done you should have taken about 260 photo's or more. I don't want you only taking one picture for the letter A. I want 10 different pictures. Then you can choose the best on once you have finished taking all of your 10 shots. REMEMBER: PEOPLE NEVER TAKE ENOUGH PICTURES. You are not wasting any film, so shoot away.
The letter 'R'
Don't forget to follow the RULE OF THIRDS for most pictures. Pay attention to the light source and also pay attention to your angles. Get down low, up high or even upside down to take some GOOD QUALITY pictures. Don't fit in with everyone else, I want you to STAND OUT FROM THE REST!
KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND WHEN SHOOTING:
RULE OF THIRDS-of course
SHAPE- what is forming the letter
FOCAL POINT-get closer or zoom in on your focal point.
BALANCE-Does your artwork look balanced? Is it to empty on one side opposed to the other.
CONTRAST-Look at the dark and light colors next to each other-it will be more interesting if you show higher areas of contrast.
REFLECTED LIGHT-I would like you to try using a white piece of paper to create reflected light if possible in this lesson.
HARD/SOFT LIGHT- I would also like for you to try to use soft or hard light in one of the successful ways they showed us in the video.
