Now that you have finished taking your A-Z photos I want you to organize your photos in Alphabetical order. We are going to be making a collage of your letters and putting them together as one artwork. So what I would like for you to do is open them in IPhoto and put them in order. When you are putting them in order I want you to use only the best letter A picture, not all the letter A pictures. You are going to have to open each picture to see which one is best because sometimes your picture can end up being a little bit blurry and you can’t tell by looking at only the camera. Once you have your photos in order you need to sit down with Mrs. Schneid to assess your photos. Once Mrs. Schneid gives you the OK, she will then print them and you will begin creating an alphabetical collage. Everyones collage should be unique and different from your neighbors. You are not just gluing your pictures down, think about how you can make your collage different from your neighbors and again how can you make yours so interesting that you get people to stop and really look at your artwork.
EXAMPLES OF GOOD QUALITY:
Think about a border
Think about the angle of the pictures
Think about not staying within the traditional Rectangular Phrame
Think about using words in your collage, around or over top
Think about how you can be DIFFERENT
BAD QUALITY:
This is too traditional
Not what I want to see.

1. I think my strength in the artwork is the pictures that I took. They are colorful and represent the letters clearly. I like how I overlapped the pictures to make it look like it's evenly flowing out of the bucket. Another strength that I like is the way I set up the collage. The bucket is a nice contrast to the pictures because the bucket is cartoon like and my pictures are real and sharp in color, it really brings out the pictures.
ReplyDelete2. The things that stand out most in my artwork to me is the colors that are incorporated throughout the pictures. The colors draw your attention to the collage and makes you want to look at it. Also I like how the bucket is dumping out the pictures and they flow out evenly, yet chaotic like a waterfall. This collage makes me feel happy, it makes me feel like a little kid again who had a basket of toys or eggs and spilled them all over the place. This collage brings back good memories of childhood when I was a kid and nothing else, I didn't have to worry about anything stressful.
I feel as though my photos were generally of a higher quality. Many of my photos had cool and interesting objects. Also, many of the backgrounds were warm and had nice colors to accompany the primary objects. Many of my photos turned out very well, but I could have made better of many. I think my collage layout was nice as it covered to entire object without white patches.
ReplyDeleteThis piece of artwork grabs my attention more than any of the other pieces on display. One of the primary reasons it does this is because I enjoy music and it is musically related. It is colorful and has a unique and shapely design. It also says something about the artist upon closer examination giving the piece more depth than others. Furthermore, this piece is done in such a way that I would consider hanging it up in my music room.
(Note, I'm sorry this reply was late, I needed to get tech support.) Hi Mrs. Schneid for some reason, when I try to post my comment on your blog, it calls my account an unknown google, even though I’m signed in correctly. So here is my comment on my collage for Finishing up A-Z.
ReplyDelete1. I think my definite strengths are taking photos and drawing. I like how I took pictures at really good angles and points of views.
In addition, I like how I turned them into a little city with my photos and drawings. My only regret is that I wish I took a little more time to organize and plan where I was going to put my photos.
2. What stands out to me in this picture are all the photos coming together to make new shapes or messages. I think the one thing I like the most about it is the letters P, Q, and O coming together to make a old style projector with film. This photo gives me the same happy feelings that I would get from one of my family movie nights.

1. I think my strengths are looking at objects from different angles. I also think my design was unique but could have been filled by bigger pictures.
ReplyDelete2. I think whats stands out in this is the Hollister logo. It is surrounded by my photos but colored differently which I think "pops".
I liked my pictures i thought they were good when they were cut out better and i liked the way it looked when i glued them because you could see what i was doing with it like A, B, C.
ReplyDeleteI liked the photo's i took because I was more original when it came to looking for shapes, and when I glued them on i went for a spaced out random shape around a vhs anchor. it had no specific order and that appeals to me.
ReplyDeleteI liked my photos although some were blurry and I had to take them multiple times from different angles.
ReplyDeleteWhat I like that I think stands out is the Basketball alone in the bottom corner.
I feel that I am an ok photographer and some of my strengths are taking photos from good and interesting angles and getting a different view and perspective on my shot. I liked my idea with the anchor for the collage but felt that my pictures didn’t fit well and I had to use a lot of scraps to fill in empty space. I felt I captured good colors but some of my pictures weren't of great quality. Overall I feel I did pretty well with finding letters in odd objects and that these pictures turned out well and so did the anchor collage.
ReplyDeleteThe strengths in my photos? i feel that my photos almost were different than others i went outside my comfort zone and experimented but i don't really like photography .
ReplyDeletethe actual collage was horrible i have never done such poor work it looked like i didn't it in five minutes not to mention butchering the photos i took .
I liked my pictures i thought they were good when they were cut out and we made a whole bunch of letters into bigger letters that made a word and i liked the way it looked when i glued them because you could see what i was doing with it, im glag we got the chance to so that.
