*Adding drop shadows or outer glows to all objects INCLUDING pictures will make them pop.
*Think about what is going to make your banner different and interesting. How can you go above and beyond your neighbor. I do not want to see the same thing going on in every banner.
*Think about adding a border to make your banner different.
*When you think you are done stop and ask yourself the following questions:
-Does my eye flow smoothly throughout the entire banner or is it choppy?
You want a smooth flow, how can you change it to make it blend?
-Is your font unique and catchy? If it is something I have seen before then you
should consider changing it to make it more unique.
-What is your focal point? Does your eye get drawn to it or does it blend in?
If it blends in, how can you change it to make it pop-go bigger maybe.
-At this point you should be thinking about IS IT INTERESTING TO LOOK AT?
If it is not you may want to reconsider starting over.
